The City of Platteville provided an update on their new Fire Facility via Facebook this week. Footings and foundation, as well as all load-bearing walls in the administration area are done. Apparatus bay walls should be done in the next two weeks. Plumbing and electrical work is underway, and structural steel installation starts this week. The goal is to have the building enclosed by the end of November. The facility is expected to be substantially complete by mid-August 2026, with move-in set for September and a grand opening planned for October 5, 2026.
