A driver allegedly fled from Iowa County deputies during an attempted traffic stop in the Village of Highland Tuesday afternoon. Just before 3 PM, deputies attempted to make a traffic stop on North Main Street, but the driver of the vehicle did not yield and fled from the scene. The pursuit ended due to reckless driving behaviors. Deputies later located the vehicle in Avoca, and, as a result, 49-year-old Laura Moen of Highland was arrested and tentatively charged with fleeing/eluding an officer. After getting medical clearance from a hospital, the woman was transported to Iowa County Jail.
