Dubuque offers yard waste pick-up services

The city of Dubuque is reminding residents of its yard waste pickup services this fall. The Dubuque Public Works Department offers scheduled leaf rake-out collections and regular yard waste collections. Rake-out collections will be offered  starting this week through Nov. 26 and must be scheduled in advance. Rake-outs can include loose leaves, pine needles and pinecones. Participants will be charged a minimum of $20 for the equivalent of 40 bags of leaves collected. Residents also can use Dubuque’s regular yard waste collection service. Paper bags, stickers and brush ties can be purchased at most Dubuque grocery, hardware and discount stores. Yard waste stickers cost $7.50 for five, and brush ties cost $1.50 each.
