On Saturday evening, the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a swimming accident involving a sixteen-year-old male at a residential property on Hummingbird Lane in Wauzeka. Law enforcement, emergency medical, and fire department personnel responded and provided immediate medical attention. Due to the severity of the injuries, a landing zone was established, and the juvenile was airlifted from the scene. The Sheriff’s Office was assisted by members of the Wauzeka Fire Department, Wauzeka First Responders, Boscobel EMS, Gundersen Ambulance, and Gundersen Air. This incident currently remains under investigation.
