The top law enforcer in Fond du Lac County is looking to become the top cop in the state. Fond du Lac County District Attorney Eric Toney announced he’s running for Wisconsin Attorney General in the 2026 election. Toney said he had a revelation after open-heart surgery two years ago. This is Toney’s second run for the office. He lost to Josh Kaul, the incumbent attorney general, in 2022.
