Man sentenced to prison for 2024 sexual assault in Jo Daviess County

A man has been sentenced to 18 years in prison after pleading guilty to sexual assault and sexual abuse charges in a Jo Daviess County case. 45-year-old Francisco Guinea-Delgado of Mundelein, Ill., pleaded guilty to a Class 1 felony charge of criminal sexual assault and a Class 4 felony charge of criminal sexual abuse. According to a news release from the Jo Daviess County State’s Attorney’s Office, the charges stem from a 2024 incident in Galena. As a condition of his sentence, Guinea-Delgado will serve a minimum three years of supervised release following his prison term and be subject to the Illinois Sex Offender Registration Act.
