Linden man arrested following disturbance

Wednesday afternoon the Iowa County Communications Center received a report of a disturbance in progress at a residence on Main Street in the Village of Linden. Units from Iowa County Sheriff’s Office, Mineral Point Police Department, Linden Police Department, Linden First Responders and Mineral Point EMS. As a result of the disturbance, 31-year-old Edward J Florence of Linden was arrested and charged with Disorderly Conduct, Resisting/Obstructing Peace Officer, and is also being held on a probation hold through the Department of Corrections. Florence was transported to the hospital for medical clearance and then taken to the Iowa County Jail, where he currently remains.
