Walls are rising and excitement is building in Monroe as construction continues on the district’s brand-new high school, a project leaders say will transform how students learn and connect with their community. The new Monroe High School has been years in the making. Superintendent Joe Monroe said the effort reflects years of community input and a shared vision for the future. After years of discussion and design work, voters approved funding for the new campus, which is now under construction. The building is expected to be completed by April 2026, giving the district time to move in before the 2026–2027 school year.
