Freeport man arrested in Dodgeville

Shortly after midnight on Sunday Iowa County Sheriff’s Deputies conducted a traffic stop on Highway 23 near Norwegian Hollow Road in Dodgeville township. Following the investigation, 47-year-old Christon L. Chatman of Freeport, Illinois, was arrested and taken into custody. Chatman was charged with Delivering Articles to Inmates, Possession of THC 2nd or greater offense, and Resisting or Obstructing an Officer. It was also determined that Chatman had an outstanding warrant out of Green County for Failure to Appear. Chatman was transported to the Iowa County Jail, where he remains in custody pending further proceedings.
