Two men were each sentenced to 15 years in prison this week for the 2024 stabbing of a Loras College student in Dubuque. 23-year-old Gabriel Dominguez of Sherrill and 23-year-old Scott M. Wessels of Dubuque, received the sentence this week in Iowa District Court of Dubuque County. The sentence comes after jurors in a September trial found both men guilty of assault with intent to inflict serious injury, willful injury causing serious injury, conspiracy to commit a forcible felony and going armed with intent in relation to the stabbing of 22-year-old Hunter Guyon.
