The first week of car ferry service between Lansing and Wisconsin is complete with strong numbers. According to a social media post from Mississippi River Bridge at Lansing between November 3 and November 9 the car ferry was used by 2,489 vehicles and 3,719 passengers. That’s an average of 355 vehicles per day and 531 people per day. The car ferry operates for 16 hours, seven days a week. The first daily departure is at 5:30 a.m. from Wisconsin and 5:45 a.m. from Iowa. The final daily departure is at 9 p.m. from Wisconsin and 9:15 p.m. from Iowa.
