La Crosse man arrested for OWI in Grant County

Just before 9 PM on Saturday, the Grant County Communication Center received a crash notification alert on Highway 133, near Dietrich Heights Lane, in Cassville. When first responders arrived on scene, they located a vehicle that was resting on its roof in the ditch. 22-year-old Gage Ploessl from LaCrosse,  struck a guard rail causing him to lose control of his vehicle, cross the center line, leave the roadway and strike a rock wall and overturn. Ploessl was transported to Grant Regional Health Center by Cassville EMS for treatment of his injuries. Ploessl was arrested for operating while under the influence 1st offense, and cited for failure to maintain control of a vehicle. The Grant County Sheriff’s Office was assisted at the scene by Cassville Fire Department, and Cassville EMS.
