Iowa County Sheriff’s Department announced their K9 units received new certifications. According to a social media post from the Department, K9 Sam and K9 Fenix achieved another level of certification through the American Police Canine Association (APCA). Both K9s are successfully certified in Narcotic Detection, Tracking, and Article Search. These accomplishments reflect countless hours of training, dedication, and partnership between the K9s and their partners. Each certification is valid for one year.
