Two arrested for drugs in Mineral Point

Two people were arrested on drug charges in Mineral Point. Saturday evening the Iowa County Communications Center received a report of a suspicious vehicle on County Road Y near Governor Dodge Road in Mineral Point Township. K9 Fenix and Iowa County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to the area. As a result of an investigation, 33-year-old Melissa D. Lindauer of Dodgeville, was arrested on charges of Possession of Methamphetamine and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia to Manufacture. Additionally, 60-year-old Victor Soto of Portage was arrested on charges of Possession of Methamphetamine and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia to Manufacture. Both Lindauer and Soto were transported to the Iowa County Jail where, they remain in custody.
