The upcoming holidays will impact curbside collections for some Dubuque residents. Both Christmas Day and New Year’s Day fall on Thursdays this year. Regular Thursday curbside collection customers on Thursday, Dec. 25 and Jan. 1, will have their pick-up adjusted to the following Saturdays, Dec. 27 and Jan. 3. According to a city press release, all curbside collections customers will be allowed to set out an additional bag of garbage following the Christmas holiday. Beginning Friday, Dec. 26, through Dec. 31, customers can set out one extra 35-gallon bag, weighing no more than 40 lbs., without the normally required green sticker.
