71-year-old arrested for OWI in Barneveld

A 70-year-old man was arrested for OWI following a crash in Barneveld. Friday morning the Iowa County Communication Center received a report of a one vehicle crash in the vicinity of South Jones Street in Barneveld. The Barneveld Fire Department, Barneveld EMS, and Iowa County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to the scene. The operator of the vehicle, 71-year-old Timothy D Whisler was transported by EMS to a local hospital. He was subsequently arrested for Operating While Under the Influence, first offense. Whisler was released from custody.
