An East Dubuque woman is dead following a crash in Wisconsin on Tuesday. Tuesday afternoon, the Grant County Sheriff’s Office received a call regarding a one-vehicle crash with injuries on Hwy 151,south of Hwy 11, in Jamestown Township. 76-year-old Gary Brillhart of East Dubuque was driving south on Hwy 151 when his vehicle left the roadway causing the vehicle to travel through the ditch, strike a highway sign, travel up a steep embankment into a wooded area approximately 40 yards off of the highway. Once at the top of the embankment, the car rolled down into a ravine, where it came to rest. Brillhart and his passenger, 80-year-old Barbara Robey of East Dubuque were injured in the crash and were transported by EMS to an area hospital for treatment. Robey’s injuries were severe and she was eventually transferred to another medical facility where she later died from the injuries sustained in the crash. The Grant County Sheriff’s Office was assisted at the scene by Dickeyville EMS, Jamestown Fire and First Responders, and the Dubuque Fire Department with an engine and paramedic ambulance. The crash remains under investigation by the Grant County Sheriff’s Office.
