Southwest Wisconsin Technical College has narrowed their applicant pool for their new president. The committee tasked with finding the new president has narrowed their list of 48 highly-qualified applicants to a pool of seven individuals. The semi-finalist candidates are scheduled for interviews over two days this week. Following these interviews, the committee will make a recommendation to the District Board to advance finalist candidates for final on-campus interviews, which will occur in mid-February. During the week of Feb. 16, the consulting firm hired to assist in the national search, will report to the college’s hiring authority. The announcement of the new president is expected to be made during the week of March 9 and the president is expected to start their new role on July 1.
