Friday afternoon an Iowa County Sheriff’s Deputy conducted a traffic stop on Highway 18 near the intersection of Sinbad Road in Linden. Subsequent to an investigation, the operator 31-year-old Julian Rivera Vargas was arrested for criminal charges of Operating While Under the Influence third offense, Operating After Revocation, and Failure to Install an Ignition Interlock Device. Vargas was transported to the Iowa County Jail and booked on the charges.
