Former Wisconsin Gov. Tommy Thompson announced his endorsement on Friday for Republican candidate for governor Tom Tiffany. Thompson served as governor from 1987 until 2001, when then-President George W. Bush appointed him as U.S. Secretary of Health and Human Services. President Donald Trump endorsed Tiffany in January describing him as “a very successful businessman, family farmer, and state legislator.” Tiffany and Andy Manske are the only Republicans in this race, facing nine Democrats vying for the seat.
