Who says slip ’n slides are just for kids?
A senior living community in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, turned back the clock for its residents with a giant lawn‑sized slide — giving everyone a chance to laugh, splash, and re-live their childhood.
The event, called “Ride ’n Slide,” brought together caregivers, firefighters, and even college football players from Middle Tennessee State University, all helping seniors safely glide down the massive tarp.
One resident, a retired Army veteran, gave himself a pep talk before taking the plunge —proving a little courage goes a long way at any age. Organizers say the day isn’t just about fun — it’s about connection and joy, especially for residents living with conditions like dementia or Parkinson’s.
