Noah Kahan delivered a reflective performance during the In Memoriam segment at the 2026 Primetime Emmy Awards, singing Simon & Garfunkel’s Bridge Over Troubled Water as the ceremony honored members of the television and entertainment community who died over the past year.
During the September 14 broadcast, Kahan performed with acoustic guitar and string accompaniment while images and names of late industry figures appeared on screen. The segment was designed as one of the evening’s quieter moments, giving viewers and attendees time to remember performers, creators, and other professionals whose work helped shape television.
The memorial portion of the ceremony also included individual tributes to several prominent entertainment figures. Catherine O’Hara was remembered in a separate tribute featuring Macaulay Culkin, Annie Murphy, and Dan Levy.
