Single Vehicle Crash in Lafayette County

No injuries were reported following a one-vehicle crash in Lafayette County Monday night shortly after 8pm. A deputy with the Lafayette County Sheriff’s Department responded to Field Drive Road in Elk Grove Township for a vehicle in a ditch. 20 year old Alexis Lopez of Belmont was traveling south on Field Drive Road when he failed to stop at a stop sign. The vehicle came to rest in a nearby field and had severe damage and had to be towed from the scene. Lopez was cited for Operating after Suspension, Failure to Notify Police of an Accident, Failure to Maintain Control, and Failure to Stop at a Stop Sign.
