The final piece is being put in place at the Grant County Sheriff’s Office. According to a release from Sheriff Nate Dreckman, his staff is almost done with moving the Grant County Communications Center from the old jail facility to the Community Services Building. In his statement, the sheriff says that going forward anyone needing to come to the Sheriff’s Office for any reason can visit their new facility just south of Lancaster along Highway 35-61. Dreckman called the county 911 communication center “one of the most technologically advanced” centers in the state. This move will now bring the dispatch staff into the new sheriff’s office.
