Selena Gomez is speaking openly about her experience with nicotine vaping, revealing that she believes the habit has affected her voice and has been difficult to stop.

In an Instagram Stories post shared on October 18, the 34-year-old singer and actress acknowledged that she had frequently used nicotine vapes. Gomez explained that quitting has been a challenge and encouraged others to avoid starting the habit.

Her comments also addressed questions about changes in her speaking voice, a topic that has attracted attention from fans over the years. Gomez responded with humor while acknowledging that she believes vaping has contributed to the difference.

The singer has previously discussed issues affecting her voice. During an earlier Instagram Live session, she mentioned experiencing occasional throat swelling, which can influence how someone sounds when speaking.

Nicotine is highly addictive, and withdrawal symptoms can make quitting difficult. Vaping can also irritate the throat and vocal cords, potentially affecting vocal quality.

By sharing her personal experience, Gomez has brought attention to the challenges of nicotine dependence while making clear that quitting remains an ongoing effort.
