Husband of Viroqua Alderperson arrested for illegally entering mayor’s home

The husband of a current Viroqua Alderperson was arrested on Friday for illegally entering the home of Viroqua Mayor Krista Browne, according to a release. 58-year-old Evan Blattner entered the residence without permission during the day on Monday and was arrested Friday for Criminal Trespassing. He was taken to the Vernon County Jail. Due to a conflict of interest, the Viroqua Police Department requested the Vernon County Sheriff’s Department to conduct the investigation. According to Facebook, Blattner is married to Ward 8 Alderperson Tanja Birke.
