The Platteville Common Council recently voted to approve the construction of a pickleball complex at Legion Park. The City will provide $50,000 from non-tax payer funding sources to support the project. An 8-court complex will be constructed. The construction could approach $300,000 to build the complex. Community support has been very positive as $142,000 is already committed to the pickleball courts. A goal is to have a grand opening during Platteville’s Dairy Days in September 2021.
