Stabbing Reported on Second Street in Platteville

During early morning hours on New Years Day on Friday, the Platteville Police Department responded to a tavern on Second Street in Platteville for a report of a stabbing. Reports say when officers arrived they found a man who had suffered a stab wound to the upper chest. The man was taken to an area hospital by EMS and was treated for non-life threatening injuries. The Platteville Police Department is actively investigating the incident and has determined that there is no threat to the public related to the incident.
