A Fennimore teen was injured after crashing into a tractor Thursday in Mount Ida Township. According to the Grant County Sheriff’s Office, 19-year-old Jacob Osborne was was driving on Mount Ridge Road around 8:30 a.m. Authorities say the windows on Osborne’s vehicle were frosted over and he couldn’t see a tractor traveling toward him. Osborne hit the front, left tire on the tractor, causing both vehicles to become disabled in the middle of the road. Osborne, who wasn’t wearing a seat belt, struck his head on the windshield. He was taken to Grant Regional Health Center for treatment. The tractor’s driver, 31-year-old Kendrick Henkel of Fennimore, did not report any injuries. Both vehicles had to be removed from the scene. Osborne was cited for failure to wear a seat belt and not having his windows reasonably clean.
