Caufield scores twice, leads Badgers to Big Ten title game

NOTRE DAME, Ind – Down 3-2 in the third period and that’s when Cole Caufield put on his superman cape for the Badgers.

The Wisconsin forward lit the lamp on a power play to send the game into overtime and then scored on a breakaway in the extra period to end the game.  Ty Emberson and Sam Stange also tallied goals for UW.

Wisconsin will face Minnesota in Tuesday’s Big Ten championship game. Puck drop is set for 7:00 P.M. on BTN. The Badgers beat the Gophers 3 out of the 4 times they skated in the regular season.
