More than a thousand Rainbow and Brown trout will be placed in Lancaster’s Memorial Park pond. According to an update from Lancaster City Manager David Carlson, city staff is coordinating with the Wisconsin DNR Fisheries office to stock the pond with trout ranging from 9 to 12 inches in length. Carlson says fishing is allowed at the Memorial Park pond for children under the age of 16, as well as handicap individuals, on a catch and release basis. However, Carlson says any Rainbow and Brown Trout – at least 8 inches long – can now be kept with a daily bag limit of 3 trout per person.
