Montfort Woman and Child Hurt In Crash

A Montfort woman and her child both received minor injuries after a rollover crash Sunday morning. The Grant County Sheriff’s Office reports that 24-year-old Irma Martinez was driving west on Highway 18 in Fennimore Township around 9:30 Sunday. Authorities say she failed to negotiate a curve near Military Road. Martinez over-corrected and that caused her vehicle to roll into the ditch. Both her and her 2-year-old son were taken to Grant Regional Health Center with minor injuries. She’s been cited with failing to have auto insurance.
