A Green County man will spend the rest of his life in prison for killing his ex-girlfriend’s father and wounding two others in Oshkosh. 40-year-old Joshua Aide of Monticello was given a life sentenced Wednesday in Winnebago County for the August 2020 shooting death of 59-year-old James Gruettner. Investigators say Aide shot 33-year-old Rebecca Borkowski in the ear and she recovered from a skull fracture. Gruettner was found dead of a gunshot wound to the head. Officers say 57-year-old John Miller was working on Borkowski’s vehicle and Aide shot him in the face. He was also sentenced to 40 years each for the attempted homicides of Borkowski and Miller.
