Dead Body Investigation in Prairie du Chien

Police in Prairie du Chien are investigating a dead body that was found early Thursday. According to a report, officers were called at around 5:30am for a deceased person discovered near the intersection of South 18th and East Wells Street. The identity of the person has not been released – pending notification of family. Prairie du Chien Police did release a statement that there is no threat to the community at this time or as a result of the events that lead to this death.
