As of Tuesday, April 28th, 700 gallons of Prairie Farms Milk has been donated to area families and those in need. It began with a call from Brad Collins at Allegiant Oil LLC who indicated the owner, Tina Hake wanted to buy 100 gallons of milk to be given away and would probably be willing to continue it weekly for an undetermined amount of time. That quickly turned into 200 additional gallons of milk following donations by the Grant County Dairy Promoters and Lafayette County Dairy Promoters. Lancaster area dairy farmer Pat Schroeder with S & S Farms put me in contact with Darin Copeland-Public Relations Director for Prairie Farms. Darin matched the first 300 gallons of milk and Allegiant Oil has committed another 100 gallons. So far the milk has been distributed to the Northern Grant County Food Pantry in Boscobel, Cassville School District, Potosi School District, Peace Lutheran Church in Platteville Food Pantry, Family Advocates of Platteville. The Cuba City School District will be receiving milk the week of April 27th. A big thank you once again to Prairie Farms for switching 100 gallons of their donation to 1600 half-pint cartons which were delivered to the Dubuque Rescue Mission. Thanks everybody for their help during this difficult period in our lives. Thanks again to Brad Collins and Tina Hake of Allegiant Oil LLC for reaching out to start this event. If you can help by making a donation to keep this going or know of a group in need. Please contact me at bmiddendorf@queenbradio.com. We will do our best to help if possible!!
Regards
Bob
