In a special meeting of the Iowa-Grant School Board Thursday, the board set quarantine guidelines for its sports teams and other extra curricular activities. With the district being located in two counties, both with separate health departments, the decision became a little harder than usual. As a result, the district will follow quarantine guides from both counties. Grant County requires 14 days of quarantine while Iowa County suggests 14 days but requires seven days. Staff will be expected to also follow the guidelines. Earlier in the day, the SWAL conference informed Iowa-Grant school officials they would not play their teams without quarantine guidelines in place. Thursday’s action is expected to meet those concerns.
