The City of Lancaster will have a new mayor next year. Current Mayor David Varnam has announced that he will not seek re-election in 2022. Varnam had said back in August that he would run for the Republican nomination to be Wisconsin’s lieutenant governor. He took over the office of mayor in 2016 following three years of serving on the Lancaster Common Council.
