MADISON, Wis. – After a freshman year that saw him average 7 points and 4 rebounds per game, Wisconsin is expecting a big year from sophomore Johnny Davis.
Davis won a gold medal at the FIBA U-19 World Cup last summer, and his teammates and coaches have seen a positive change in his game.
“The biggest thing that was noticeable when he came back from that was the confidence level,” head coach Greg Gard said. “Not that he wasn’t a good player before he left but he came back and felt a sense of belonging.”
