A man from Dubuque avoided injury when he was involved in a one vehicle rollover crash in Grant County around 5:30am Monday morning. The Grant County Sheriff’s Office received a report of the crash on Bluff Road in Jamestown Township. 40 year old Terrance Wickre of Dubuque was traveling east on Bluff Road when he observed several deer in the roadway. Wickre attempted to avoid striking the deer by swerving his vehicle to the right and in doing so, caught the shoulder of the roadway. Wickre continued into the ditch on the south side of the roadway and the vehicle overturned/rolled and came to a rest on the passenger side of the vehicle. There were no injuries reported as a result of the crash. Beidler Towing of Dubuque removed the vehicle from the scene. Wickre was cited for failure to keep his vehicle under control.
