Several fire departments were called to a blaze at a Lafayette County farm early Thursday. According to reports, emergency crews were notified of the structure fire about 4 miles east of Cuba City shortly after 6am. Departments from Benton, Cuba City, Hazel Green, Platteville, Belmont and Shullsburg responded to the fire on Fever Hill Road. A state trooper at the scene reported the building collapsed. The farm’s owner said there were no injuries to either people or animals. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
