Platteville Police Investigating Attempted Robbery

The Platteville Police Department is investigating details of an attempted robbery at a residence in Platteville. The incident occurred Monday around 5:45pm. According to a social media post from the Platteville Police Department, the victim reported that three individuals showed up to their residence and demanded drugs. During the encounter, the suspects displayed firearms. After the victim refused to cooperate with the suspects, the three individuals left the scene in a red colored sedan. No other descriptions were provided to law enforcement. The Platteville Police Department is investigating the matter and has determined that the victim and the suspects know each other and that there is no immediate danger to the public.
