First Funeral For MP Firefighters Today

The first of two funerals for a pair of Mineral Point firefighters is scheduled for today. Services for 69-year-old James Ludlum will be 11 o’clock this morning at Saint Mary’s and Saint Paul’s Catholic Church in Mineral Point. A funeral for 43-year-old Brian Busch is set for 11 o’clock on Friday at Saint Mary’s and Saint Paul’s Church. Officials say an honor guard procession to the cemetery will follow both funerals this week. Governor Tony Evers has ordered flags to be flown at half-staff today (Wed) and Friday to honor Ludlum and Busch. The two firefighters were killed last week when their fire truck was hit by a semi while responding to another call.
