Wisconsin’s superintendent of public instruction says virtual classes are one of the best ways to keep schools open. Underly said Wisconsin schools can’t remain open when they don’t have teachers, staff members, school bus drivers, and other support personnel. She was defending schools that are being criticized for the move. Underly says moving classes online for a week or two will help keep the schools open for the long run.
