Shields Hired For Louisiana Job

UW-Platteville Chancellor Dennis Shields will be leaving the school for another position in Louisiana. The Southern University System Board of Supervisors met Friday morning and selected Shields to be the next Presidend-Chancellor. He was among three finalists who visited the campus in Baton Rouge earlier this month. According to a report, the chair of the Southern University Board of Supervisors will begin contract negotiations with Shields. There’s been no update from UW-Platteville as far as when Shields’ last day will be.
