Police Investigate Weapons At Platteville School

The Platteville Police Department is investigating two separate instances of potential weapons at the high school. Authorities were called to the Platteville High School twice on Tuesday regarding reports of a “look-alike weapon.” Police say a “look-alike weapon” would include an item such as an Air-soft or BB gun. Both instances resulted from students alerting staff that those items were on the high school’s campus. The Platteville Police Department responded to ensure there were no lethal weapons in the school. Police and district officials are looking into disciplinary actions against the students.
