Illinois Woman Airlifted After Crash

A northwest Illinois woman was seriously injured after a single-vehicle crash Friday afternoon. The Jo Daviess County Sheriff’s Office says 57-year-old Amy McDermott of Elizabeth was air-lifted to UW Hospital in Madison. According to a crash report, McDermott was driving along Wachter Road in rural Elizabeth just before 12:30pm. Officials say that her vehicle left the road and struck a culvert. Jo Daviess County authorities are continuing to investigate Friday’s crash.
