The Sauk County Sheriff’s Office says there was no lifeguard on duty when a seven-year-old girl died Friday at Chapparal Campground Splash Waterpark in La Valle. Some other park visitors found her and performed C-P-R until emergency responders arrived. She was airlifted to University of Wisconsin Hospital but died before doctors could help her. A sign was posted warning about the absence of a lifeguard.
