Emergency responders are warning about the dangers of tubing after a fatal accident on the Sugar River Saturday. A 25-year-old Madison man went under the water at about 3:20 p-m and never resurfaced. His name hasn’t been released. In a Facebook posting, the Albany Fire Department offered its sympathies and a warning about strong currents when water levels are high. Local officials say the drowning is the first tubing fatality in more than 10 years.
