Iowa Man Dies In Jo Daviess Crash

A 50-year-old man from central Iowa has died after a motorcycle crash early Sunday in Galena. The Jo Daviess County Sheriff’s Office says that Jacob Thomas of Iowa Falls was killed in the wreck around 5am Sunday. The sheriff’s report says Thomas was going west on Highway 20. He lost control of his bike about a-half-mile east of Midwest Medical Center in Galena. Officials say the motorcycle left the roadway and struck a tree.
