For those who don’t have a card available, there will be cash-to-card conversion stations — where you can exchange cash for pre-loaded cards — in the Lambeau Field Atrium and at Titletown, the team says.
Fans will also be asked to use new ticket scanners as they enter the stadium, which were in use for the recent Packers Family Night scrimmage and the soccer game Lambeau Field hosted in July. The new scanners are pedestals that can scan mobile tickets that have been added to digital wallets on the upper part of the pedestal, or scan bar codes on the lower part of the pedestal. Each ticket has to be scanned individually, but the team says it expects the new system to allow fans to enter the stadium quicker than before.
As fans get to the stadium, they will notice construction in the area of Lambeau Field will change traffic patterns to get into parking areas. The team is urging fans to pay attention to the road signs directing traffic to make sure they get to where they need to go, since usual routes to the stadium may be affected.
As has been the case in recent years, bags and purses will not be allowed into the stadium unless they are clear plastic, vinyl or PVC and are 12″ by 6″ by 12″ or smaller. Stadium cushions are also not allowed, but stadium seats and stadium pads with no pockets or zippers and are 18″ wide or smaller will be allowed.
All fans will have to walk through metal detectors to get into the stadium.
The Packers’ first home preseason game will kick off at 7 p.m. on Friday night against the New Orleans Saints. Their first home game of the regular season will be a Sunday Night Football showdown against the Chicago Bears on September 18.
